Haines City Commissioner Morris West was sworn in as 2023-2024 Ridge League of Cities President on September 14, 2023 at the Haines City Membership Dinner.  West was administered the Oath of Office by his wife, Leah.   He was elected to the Haines City Commission in 2016 and has served four consecutive terms as Mayor.  He served as RLC Treasurer in 2020-2021, Secretary in 2021-2022, and Vice President in 2022-2023.  President West also represents the RLC on the Central Florida Regional Planning Council and currently serves as President of the Florida Black Caucus of Local Elected Officials (FBC-LEO).  Best Wishes President West!
